Your treatment, through your questions

Understand where Myobrace could fit.

What it is for

Different roles. One individual plan.

Look beyond a single appliance.

This is often called myofunctional orthodontic support. Each part of the plan has its own purpose.

01

Tooth & bite position

Braces, aligners or another selected appliance address the diagnosed orthodontic problem.

02

Everyday oral function

Selected Myobrace support and prescribed activities work on a relevant tongue, lip or swallowing pattern.

03

Retention & review

Retainers hold the planned tooth positions; follow-up checks both the bite and functional progress.

What does Dr. Sree assess?

The finding matters. So does its cause and context.

Clinical reference showing tongue position between the front teethClinical reference · Tongue position and the bite need assessment together.
01

Tongue posture & swallowing

Look at rest position, movement and swallowing—not just one exercise.

02

Lips & cheeks

Assess comfortable closure and the surrounding soft-tissue function.

03

Tooth position & growth

Connect the functional findings with the bite, eruption and stage of development.

Persistent mouth-open posture or breathing difficulty needs assessment. Medical or ENT input may be needed before a functional programme is appropriate.

Where it fits

The right support, at the right stage.

01

Children

During early assessment

Review growth, tooth eruption and oral habits together. Myobrace is one possible part of the plan, alongside observation or other treatment.

Early orthodontic evaluation
02

Teenagers & adults

Alongside braces

A braces-compatible design may support a specific functional goal while braces address tooth and bite relationships.

Understand braces treatment
03

Teen orthodontics

After a growth phase

After Class II functional-appliance treatment, reassess the bite and oral function. Additional support is selected when it has a clear purpose.

04

Retention & adult care

After active treatment

Relevant habit work may continue with prescribed retainers. Selected Class II or Class III cases need their own diagnosis and realistic goals.

Myobrace, braces or observation?

They have different jobs. The decision follows the diagnosis.

Your routine

The appliance is one part of the programme.

From assessment to everyday practice.

  1. 01

    Assess

Identify the functional target and check the bite, oral health and appliance suitability.

  2. 02

    Fit & teach

Fit the selected appliance and learn the prescribed activities and wear schedule.

  3. 03

    Practise

Build a consistent routine. The aim is useful everyday function, beyond a coached exercise.

  4. 04

    Review

Check comfort, fit, actual use and progress; adapt the plan if the findings change.

Think beyond the finish

Retainers still have their own job.

Functional support may accompany the retention plan. It does not automatically replace a prescribed retainer or guarantee that teeth will never move.

Clinical explanations & questions

Know what to expect before you begin.

01

Is Myobrace only for children?

No. Dr. Sree considers the patient’s diagnosis, growth stage and oral function. Selected children, teenagers or adults may have a useful functional goal. The appliance and programme must be appropriate for that individual; adult treatment is not presented as a way to grow a mature jaw.

02

Can I use Myobrace with braces?

Some Myobrace products are designed to accommodate braces. Dr. Sree checks compatibility with your actual brackets, wires, hooks, elastics and treatment plan. Do not add an appliance yourself: a standard Myobrace is not automatically compatible with every orthodontic system.

03

Will Myobrace mean my child will not need braces?

That cannot be promised. Early assessment may identify a role for oral-habit work, observation, another appliance or orthodontic treatment. Alignment and bite correction may still require braces or clear aligners later.

04

Can Myobrace replace my retainer or prevent relapse?

Do not stop wearing your prescribed retainer. Myobrace may have a separate functional purpose and may not hold individual tooth positions precisely enough. Habit work does not guarantee stability; retainers and clinical reviews remain part of the plan.

05

Does Myobrace treat mouth breathing or sleep apnoea?

Persistent mouth-open posture deserves assessment, but it is not a diagnosis by itself. Nasal obstruction, snoring or disturbed sleep may need medical or ENT assessment. Myobrace is not offered as a cure for sleep apnoea or an alternative to necessary medical care.

06

How long does Myobrace treatment take, and what does it cost in Dubai?

Duration and fees depend on the functional goal, appliance choice, review schedule and response to treatment. After assessment, Dr. Sree explains the proposed programme, expected commitment, review points and individual fee. There is no single suitable timetable for every patient.
